Visiting Nurse agencies, commonly referred to as "VNA's" created the profession of home health care over 100 years ago. Each agency is governed by a voluntary board, comprised of leaders in the local community, which assures that the agency addresses the specific health care needs in the communities they serve. The united mission of VNA's is to provide compassionate, quality home care to patients. Services through these agencies include but are not limited to: skilled nursing care; physical, speech and occupational therapy; home health aide; infusion therapy; dietary and nutrition counseling; and case management.
