Purpose: Adult Protective Service is a program to protect vulnerable adults from harm. The term "elder abuse and neglect" is commonly used to describe acts that result in harm or threatened harm to health or welfare of an older adult. Mistreatment may include physical, psychological or financial abuse or neglect. If you or someone you know is 18 years of age or older, living in the community and is subject to abuse, neglect and/or exploitation, Adult Protective Services is where to turn.
